The annual Mother Goose Parade is expected to attract over 400,000 spectators this year. It is the largest parade in the San Diego area and the largest of its kind west of the Mississippi.
The parade always takes place on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, with a different theme each year.
Over 100 entrants from cities all across the country will particpate, including, floats, marching bands, drill units, clowns, equestrians, celebrities, specialty vehicles, performing artists, and Santa on his special float.
Adults and children will see the Mother Goose Parade Queen and Court, Chopper Bike Dog, El Cajon FIre Dept., the Marine Band, a Black Hawk Helicopter, and much more.
The procession will start on the corner of Main Street and Magnolia and move east on Main Street, then turn left onto Second Street, and continue north to Madison, where it ends.
Tips on What to Bring:

- Snacks
- Cold water for hot days
- Hot cocoa for cold days
- Folding chair
- If you have kids, bring a blanket so that they can sit on the curb for a great view.
